The Future of Design is Human-Centred

I founded Good_Space to bring a more human-centred approach to the built environment - considering not only how spaces look, but how they support how people feel, function, and live.

With a background in brand strategy and communications, I approach design as both a creative and strategic discipline. Alongside my practice, I’ve undertaken focused study in building science, human health, and environmental wellbeing, gaining accreditation through the International WELL Building Institute as one of the early practitioners in New Zealand.

I work alongside architects, developers, and private clients across Aotearoa, contributing to the strategy, design, and delivery of residential, commercial, and education environments. My role often begins early in the process - helping shape spatial direction, material thinking, and wellness outcomes that strengthen both human experience and long-term asset performance.

Good_Space operates as part of the wider project team, bringing clarity across concept development, interior design, material selection, and implementation. Through in-house capabilities and established relationships with trusted trades across multiple disciplines, we support projects from early thinking through to on-site delivery.

As our understanding of the relationship between people and place evolves, I’m particularly interested in how biophilic design, regenerative thinking, and social wellness models can shape the future of our homes, workplaces, and shared environments.

“Designing spaces to look great wasn’t enough for me; the purpose of Good_Space needed to be bigger and more compelling.

There’s been a huge shift in the way we view our spaces, the way we build and what it means to be truly ‘well’. Building for human and environmental health will soon be common place, because it’s common sense.
